Internships

Students interested in pursuing Environmental Internships should join the Environmental Studies Listserv as well as subscribe to the Sustainability at Rice Newsletter. These Rice specific email lists, along with local Houston Citizens’ Environmental Coalition Newsletter will feature opportunities as they come along.

The Rice Center for Career Development is also a great resource for pursuing internship opportunities, students are encouraged to visit their website and office and keep an eye out for internships, externships, and other opportunities such as Spring 2018 Sustainability Career Crawl.

As with Research, students may also reach out to Faculty for help finding and connecting to internship opportunities. Additionally, if they would like to pursue getting class credit for their internship they should contact the Minor Advisor Dr. Dominic Boyer.

Additionally, Professor Richard Johnson offers internships during the school year and summer at the Administrative Center for Sustainability Energy Management, particularly to work study students. More information can be found here.
